PA4 & ST-PA4 Series

2.54mm / 0.10" centres

The PA4 series is the universal choice for use in the majority of ATE test fixtures and has a very wide range of tip styles for most test applications. Additionally, a choice of up to six spring forces is offered. Many of these tip styles now incorporate ECT's PogoPlus bias ball technology which will guarantee an uninterrupted internal contact with a consistently low resistance figure; typically 8më. This virtually eliminates probe related false opens, an important issue in today's tough test environment and allows high current capability from a standard product. The ST-PA4 series has special hard steel tips which ensure an exceptional resistance to wear on the faces. This enables good penetration of any residual contaminants on test surfaces, particularly for lead-free solders. Please see our lead-free section.

LPA2 & ST-LPA2 Series

1.91mm / 0.075" centres

The LPA2 series probes are designed to be used on .075 (1.91mm) minimum centres. They have the same .250 (6.35mm) travel as the standard ATE probes in the PA4 series and are therefore fully compatible with the larger PA5, PA6 and PA7 series probes.

The ST-LPA2 series have special hard steel tips which ensure an exceptional resistance to wear on the cutting faces. This enables good penetration of any residual contaminants on test surfaces, particularly for lead-free solders.

LPC1 & ST-LPC1 Series

1.27mm / 0.050" centres

Specially designed for use on boards containing test pads which are on .050” (1.27mm) centres. The excellent pointing accuracy (maximum positional error of tip relative to axis of probe), combined with the full travel of .250” (6.35mm) ensures full compatibility with the standard PA4 series ATE probes. Specially designed for use in high throughput test fixtures, the ST-LPC1 series is a development of the LPC1 series which has special hard steel tips to ensure an exceptional resistance to wear on the contact faces. This enables good penetration of any residual contaminants on test surfaces, particularly for lead-free solders.
